Taylor L. Greenawald, 12, of Sandusky, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly late Saturday evening, May 1, 2010, in Rainbow Babies and Children Hospital in Cleveland. She is now wrapped within the loving arms of our Lord.
She was born March 19, 1998, in Sandusky, to Matthew Scott Greenawald and Angela Jane Faulkner. She was in the fifth grade attending school at Mills Elementary. Taylor loved animals and aspired to one day become a veterinarian or a zookeeper. She was blessed with a lot of energy and was a true lover of being outdoors. Taylor was a natural gymnast, loved climbing trees and swimming. She was a member of Big Sisters and Big Brothers.
She is survived by her parents, Angela "Angie" and Laban "Bo" Gaydish; three sisters, Rayvin, Corianne and Halace "Lacey" and brother, Laban, all of Sandusky; half brother and half sister, Matthew and Isabelle Greenawald of Portland, Ore.; maternal grandparents, James "JR" and Linda (Nath) Best of Sandusky; great-paternal grandmother, Wilma Best of Castalia; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and Big Sister, Melissa (Matt) Frey of Milan.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jimmy R. Faulkner; maternal great grandparents, Ray and Naomi "Pat" Nath; paternal great-grandfather, Raymond Best.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Road, Sandusky. The Rev. David Brown will officiate. Entombment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park Mausoleum, Huron.
