Catherine A. "Kate" (Natole) Short of Bellevue, passed away April 26, 2010, at her home.

Kate was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Bellevue, the youngest child of the late Benedetto and Rosalia (Milete) Natole from S'Agata di Miletelo, a provInce of Messina, Italy.

Kate graduated from Bellevue Senior High School in 1943 and worked at Philco facility in Detroit before returning to Bellevue in the late 1950s. She was later employed at GE Bellevue Lamp Plant for several years and retired in the early 1980s.

Kate was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Four County Young at Heart; Bellevue Eagles Aerie 490 Auxiliary; the Bellevue Recreation Department; and was a lifetime member of Club Amer-Ital. Kate looked forward to spending time with her great-grandchildren, Logan and Adelyn. She enjoyed doing crosswords, playing Scrabble with her nieces and her sisters, Mary Anna and Rosa. She took pleasure in getting together with the old gang from GE, and absolutely loved golfing and was a member of the Senior Golf Club. She participated in women leagues for several years at Twin Lakes Golf Course.

She is survived by her sister Mary Anna Lascari of Bellevue; her grandson, Charles (Jessica) Robinson of Toledo; great-grandson, Logan Jacob Robinson; great-granddaughter, Adelyn Reese Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Kate was preceded in death most recently, by her daughter, Christine M. Henning; her parents; her brothers, Louis, Anthony and Joseph Natole; and her sisters, Charlotte Durso and Rosa Sberna.

A Memorial Mass will be at noon Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Private burial services will be in Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
