Anita Bright Keller Bird, 69, of Port Clinton, died Monday morning, May 3, 2010, in Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton, following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 31, 1940, in Sandusky, and was a 1958 graduate of Margaretta High School.
Anita is survived by her husband, Robert Bird, to whom she was married for 32 years; three daughters, Tamara (Ron) Istvan of Hillsboro, Ohio, Kristine (Marlon) Martell of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and Tina Keller of Sandusky; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Dr. James (Sandy) Bright of Poway, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Bernice (Keimer) Bright; one son Kenneth "Tony" Keller; and best friend Zeus, her English Bulldog.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Kathleen Suggitt, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
