Howard B. Fulton, 89, formerly of Bellevue and Port Clinton, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010, in Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky.
He was born Jan. 22, 1919, in Wayne County, son of the late William Clyde and Harriet (Bair) Fulton. Howard was an insurance and real estate agent for many years and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton and Elks, Eagles, VFW and Kiwanis and was past commodore of Port Clinton Yacht Club. He was a licensed pilot owning and operating his own plane and he enjoyed playing cards, fishing, gardening and hunting.
Survivors include his son, William (Jan) Fulton of Bellevue; daughter, Debbie (Bill Keating) Koebel of Fremont; grandchildren, Heather Fulton of Dublin, Ohio, Jon (Valentina) Fulton of Dayton, Ohio, Emily Koebel of Toledo and Adam Koebel of Columbus and great-grandchildren, Alex and Sasha Fulton; and sisters-in-law, Madge Covert of Muncie, Ind., and Treva Fulton of Elyria.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy E. (Dennis), whom he married Jan. 27, 1940, in West Salem, Ohio; second wife, Grazia Day Satterfield; his parents; brothers, John and Russell Fulton; and sister, Edna Fulton, preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8, in West Salem Cemetery, West Salem, Ohio.
