Helen Ann (Vogus) Landoll, 97, of Norwalk, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010, in Norwalk Memorial Home.
She was born March 12, 1913, in Norwalk, daughter of the late Alphonsus and Catherine (Lawrence) Vogus and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, the Creative Craft Club, and the Early Bird Bowling Team at Maple Leaf Lanes. She was a student at St. Alphonsus School and St. Paul High School. Helen was a former employee of Norwalk Upholstery (Norwalk Furniture), Mary Lee Candy Company (Fannie Farmer Candy), and did housekeeping for others in the community. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, canning, baking, playing cards, cross stitching, knitting, crocheting, fishing and bingo.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C. and Janis Landoll of Norwalk, and Kenneth E. and Brenda Landoll, of Monroeville. She is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Peter Landoll, whom she married June 6, 1936, and her brothers, Roy Vogus, Howard Vogus, Vincent Vogus, Clarence Vogus, Ambros Vogus and Anthony Vogus.
Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Frank Kehres will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
