Joyce Peck-Rockwell, 78, of Milan and formerly of Trenton, Mich., died late Thursday evening, April 22, 2010, in University of Toledo Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born June 21, 1931, in Warren, Ohio, daughter of the late Silas Oliver and Florence Elizabeth (Glinn) Russell. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Trenton. Joyce enjoyed spending summers on the lake in Port Clinton, wintering in Fort Meyers, Fla., playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and writing poetry, but most of all Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Glenn Rockwell Sr., whom she married in June of 2005; three daughters, Susan (Jeff) Riewer of Perham, Minn., Janet (Alan) Goldberg of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Lisa (Jim) Wilson of Charlotte, N.C.; two sons, Michael Peck of Chicago and Jeffrey Peck of Riverview, Mich.; four grandchildren, Ben, Kara, Phoebe and Genevieve; brother, Richard (Carole) Russell of Warren, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifton S. Peck in 2003.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Groff Funeral Home, 1 S. Main St., Milan; the Rev. Tim Kim of Edison Memorial United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Bloomdale Cemetery in Trenton, Mich., at a later date.
