Evelyn Raneri, 88, of Greensburg, Pa., and formerly of Sandusky died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at home.
Born Sept. 3, 1921, in Sandusky, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Goanina (Esposito) Vassallo.
Evelyn was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.
She is survived by four children, Francie Rogers of Greensburg, Samuel Raneri and wife, Linda, of Spring Hill, Fla., Joanne Phillips and husband, Robert, of Oakmont, Pa., and Philip Raneri and wife, Mary Ellen, of Latrobe, Pa.; four grandchildren, Timothy Rogers, Sandy Annesley, Michelle Bankhead and Natalie Sacco; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Randall of South Bend, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Raneri; two brothers, James and Nicholas Vassallo; and four sisters, Angeline Cifaldi, Concetta Weaver, Rose Miano and Loretta Gerhardstein.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Evelyn from 4-8 p.m. Friday in Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home Inc., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. Prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum, Hempfield Township.
