Dale Frankboner, 78, of Berlin Heights died Saturday, April 17, 2010, in Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.
He was born May 24, 1931, in Cleveland and lived in Berlin Heights most of his life. He graduated from Berlin Heights High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He retired from Iron Workers Local 17 in Cleveland.
He was a member of the Berlin Heights American Legion, Berlin Twp. Fire Dept., St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron, and served on the Berlin Heights Board of Public Affairs. He loved sports, bowling, spending time with his family, gardening and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara (White); his children, Ann Lawrence of Sandusky, Sue (Frank) Lambert of Georgia, Beth (Wayne) Snay of Norwalk, Lynn (Craig) Getrost of Indiana, Mark (Jan) Frankboner of Milan and Matt Frankboner of Norwalk; 11 grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Father Peter White of Massachusetts.
Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South St., Berlin Heights. There will be a Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron. A luncheon will follow at the church. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery in Berlin Heights.
