Louise Williams, 85, of Huron and formerly Berlin Heights, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010, in Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.
She was born Aug. 22,1924, in Statesville, N.C., and has lived in this area since 1955. She worked for the former International Amusements in Huron as a costume designer. For years Louise ran the nursery at Huron Baptist Church and more recently was a member of Lakeshore Community Church in Huron. She loved gardening and traveling with her husband on their motorcycle and in their motorhome all across America. She loved to sew and created her own patterns and designs.
She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Paul (Shirley) Decker of Sandusky and Laura Hengstler of Reno, Nev.; son, Don C. Williams of Statesville; numerous stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Faye P. Cates of Statesville; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles H. Williams; and her parents, Oscar and Estelle (Lippard) Paine.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South St., Berlin Heights, where services will be at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
