Jane Ann Weigel, 84, of Huron passed away early Thursday morning, April 15, 2010, in Commons of Providence, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
Born on June 6, 1925, in Sandusky, she was the daughter of Harold and Helen (Welshenbach) Miller. She was a 1943 graduate of Sandusky High School. She worked as a secretary for the I.B.E.W. Electrical Union for almost 20 years before retiring. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She loved bingo and was an avid bowler and golfer in several leagues in the area for several years.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William C. "Bill" Weigel, whom she married Sept. 20, 1947; four daughters, Barbara (John) Stradtman, Janice (Chuck) Obergefell, Sally (John) Thompson and Nancy Blanton, all of Sandusky; 11 grandchildren, Tricia, Molly, Tony, Tim, Matt, Malia, Marcus, Maxwell, Jeff, Kelli and T.J.; 11 great-grandchildren, Libby, Brody, Lucy, Ben, Ty, Cambryn, Brea, Graden, Stone, Macey and Chace; brother, Richard Miller of Wauwautosa, Wisc.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas in 1979; and her parents.
The family will receive friends from 8 a.m. Saturday until funeral services at 9 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. John Mawhirter will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
