SANDUSKY
Allen Edward Burris, 87, Sandusky, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born in Prichard, W.Va., Aug. 8, 1922, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked for Union Local 42 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters for many years.
Allen is survived by his companion, Betty Taylor of Sandusky; sons, Al (Nancy) Burris, Carl (Vicki) Burris and Ray (Kay) Burris, all of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Tim, Cara, Meggan, Amanda and Justine; great-grandchildren, Kamden, Airianna and Alexis; sisters, Katherine Ash of Milan and Marlene Klein of Huron; brothers, Kenneth Burris of Huron and George Burris of Vickery; and stepdaughter, Charlotte (Kevin) Taylor of Union, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen L. and Ada (Hall) Burris; brothers, Gilbert Burris and Sanford Burris; and sisters, Meerzie Canterbury and Gertrude Jenkins.
There will be no visitation; private family services will be observed.
