Armella C. (Hobert) Masten, 97, of Sandusky passed away early Sunday evening, April 11, 2010, at the home of her daughter, Wendy L. Salyers.
She was born July 22, 1912, in Sandusky, the daughter of Conrad and Wilhelmenia (Loeffler) Hobert. Armella worked in many offices in the Erie County Senior Center Auxiliary and volunteered for many years and was a member of the auxiliary of the former Good Samaritan Hospital and Firelands Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed needlework, ceramics, crafts and reading.
She is survived by her daughters, Joan C. Schuster and Wendy L. (Gerald) Salyers, both of Sandusky; son, Robert H. (Gail) Masten of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard C. Masten, July 2, 1991; a great-granddaughter; her parents; two sisters; seven brothers; and son-in-law, Richard Schuster.
Private family services will be observed. Cremation will take place in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
