Emily L. Wadsworth, 61, of Clyde died late Thursday evening, April 8, 2010, in Stein Hospice in Sandusky.
She was born Nov. 15, 1948, the daughter of Arthur and Ruth Gephart Cleary. She was a 1967 Clyde High School graduate and later went on to Providence Nursing School. She continued her studies at Kent State and later graduated magna cum laude in psychology from Bowling Green State University. She was a nurse for 40 years, most notably the ICU manager at The Bellevue Hospital and most recently as a nurse and spokesperson for Stein Hospice. Emily was a member of Clyde First United Methodist Church, being very involved in the bell choir and as a Sunday school teacher. Emily was a very colorful woman who enjoyed gardening, canning, traveling and family gatherings, but most importantly Emily was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed her family so very much.
She is survived by her husband, Dave Wadsworth of Clyde; son, Jake Wadsworth of Clyde; brother, Kenneth F. Cleary of Fremont; and special cousin who was loved like a brother, Michael D. Cleary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and granddad, James Cleary.
Calling hours will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday in First United Methodist Church, 510 W. Maple St., Clyde. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the church with Pastor Ray Kovach officiating.
