Jeffrey John Sanders, 50, of Sandusky, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 6, 2010, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
He was born May 23, 1959, in Sandusky, son of Charles E. and Irene V. (Leidorf) Sanders. He was a 1977 graduate of Perkins High School. Jeff was an out going person and loved going fishing. He had a passion for cooking and worked as a chef for various local establishments, most recently at Cross Roads. Prior to that, he worked at the Trout Club, IAB Club and American Legion.
He is survived by two daughters, Chloe J. and Gracie I. Sanders of Sandusky; his mother; three sisters, Sharon R. "Sherry" (David E.) Clark, Rosemary E. "Rosey" Brewer and June I. (Dan) Leber, all of Sandusky; two brothers, Chuck J. (Rose) Sanders of Bay View and Raymond D. Sanders of Sandusky; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Sanders on April 2, 1965; and sister, Jessica Sanders.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Friday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Jason Kahle will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
