Mary A. (Sanders) Wobser, 80, of Collins passed away Saturday afternoon, March 27, 2010, following a brief illness.
Mary was born Sept. 14, 1929, in Vermilion. She was one of six children born to the late Clifford and Florence (Wisegarver) Sanders.
Mary was a member of Collins United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed attending worship services. She also enjoyed helping on the family farm, gardening, playing cards and spending time with her family and spending extra special time with her grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brothers, Robert, Charles and Richard Sanders and sister, Marge Manosky.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James E. Wobser of Collins; daughter, Penny A. (Bob) Beckstein of Mooresville, N.C.; son, Donald J. (Willametta "Janey") Wobser of Collins; her sister, Lois Mollison Leidorff of Norwalk; brother, Clifford Sanders of Statesville, N.C.; grandson, whom she raised, James E. (wife Denise) White of Collins; grandsons, Scott White of Collins and Michael Wobser of Wakeman; granddaughters, Lisa (Tom) Smith of Fostoria, Ohio, and Stephanie Mont of Lutz, Fla.; and great-grandchildren, Jordan Massie, Justine White, Morgan White and Anjali Smith.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Carl Fannin officiating. Interment will be in Collins Cemetery.
