Larry R. Smith, 59, of Norwalk, died suddenly Sunday, March 21, 2010, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 18, 1950, in Norwalk. He lived many years in North Fairfield and was a member of the United Methodist Church of North Fairfield. He was a 1969 graduate of South Central High School. He retired after 39 years from Norwalk Furniture. He enjoyed all sports and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie L. Smith, whom he married July 11, 1987; mother, Effie Smith of Norwalk; sisters, Linda (Irwin) Wunder, Patsy (Carl) Gray and Debbie (Wayne) Coffman, all of Norwalk; three nephews, two nieces and two great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Smith; and a sister, Vicki Smith.
Friends may call 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk, where a funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. James Gaston, pastor of the United Methodist Church of North Fairfield, officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk.
