Duward P. "Duke" Clonch, 65, of Vickery died unexpectedly Saturday, March 20, 2010, in The Bellevue Hospital.
"Duke" was born Nov. 26, 1944, in Sandusky. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery, and Sandusky Speedway. He attended Townsend High School and was a truck driver for many years prior to his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Debra (VanVlerah) Clonch, who he married Oct. 26, 2006; six children, Carl (Denise) Clonch of Sandusky; Mary Lou (Bert) Gaddis of Westerville; Diane (Matt) Keller of Huron; Lisa Brengartner (Danny Barnhart) of Sandusky; Kenny (Tammy) Clonch of Sandusky and Jonathan Clonch of Vickery; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren. His father, George Clonch, survives in Gallipolis. Four half-sisters, Jeannie Cox, Nica Harrison and Becky (Rick) Mitchell, all of Gallipolis, and Georgeanna (John) McClung of Belpre, also survive.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Alice (Goliver) and Paul Berlekamp; and daughter-in-law, Marcia Clonch.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery, with the Rev. David Klappenbach officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
