Elizabeth Emma (Elliott) Wallick, 91, of Huron passed away peacefully Monday, March 15, 2010, in Concord Rehab and Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born March 13, 1919, in Falls Church, Va., to John Thomas Elliott and Gertrude (Robinson) Florence. She was raised in Baltimore, Md., and attended St. Paul's School for Girls. Throughout her adult life she shared many fond memories of her years at St. Paul's with her family. She was married to Willard Wallick of Dover, Ohio, for 53 years. They generously shared their talent and love of music, volunteering to entertain at Huron Health Care Center. Wally played piano, and Libby led everyone in song. Music played a very large part in their long life together, and all were blessed to have been a part of it.
She never said an unkind word and was an avid gardener, a lover of nature and a blessing to her family. She also loved her church, of which she had been a member for more than 60 years. But, most of all, she loved her family.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her three children, Gayle Allen of Phoenix, Ariz.; Judy Manion of Chickamauga, Ga., and Tim of Huron; four grandchildren, Matthew Hassinger of Willow Spring, N.C.; Elizabeth Young and Joel Hassinger of Huron, and James Hassinger of Port Clinton; five great-grandchildren, Soren Hassinger, Sophie Young, Dillon Young, Noah Hassinger and Rory Hassinger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and one sister.
