Evelyn R. Ciesinski, 87, of Sandusky passed away early in the morning March 5, 2010, in Providence Care Center, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Hartford, Conn., to Leonard and Rose (Bertrand) Cote'. She was a 1941 graduate of Bristol High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, its Altar Rosary Society and The Privileged Ones, a senior club.
She is survived by daughters, Lois (David) Zabel of Bristol, Conn., and Jan Jones of Manchester, N.H.; son, Richard A, (Jacqueline) Ciesinski of Castalia; five grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dora Griffin of Bristol and Rosemarie (Henry) Gorr of Blueridge, Ga.; nieces and nephews; and daughter-in-law, Brenda Ciesinski of Castalia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Ciesinski (2005); two sons, Robert S. Ciesinski (2009) and Thomas C. Ciesinski (2007); and her parents.
At her request cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Marty Nassr will officiate.
Interment will be later in Perkins Cemetery, Sandusky.
