Joseph T. "Jep" Bloor, 49, of Huron and originally of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 14, 2010.
Jep was born July 16, 1960, in Mansfield, where he spent the first 18 years of his life. He attended Wittenburg University and Tiffin University, graduating in 1983 with a degree in business.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lisa (Barnes); his children, Mary, Nancy and Jeppie; his father, Thomas Bloor of Mansfield; and his brother, Bill (Merrill) Bloor of Shelby, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Claparols) Bloor.
For the past 22 years he worked for the Sandusky Register newspaper.
He was a loving husband to his wife, a wonderful father to his children, and a faithful and entertaining friend to all who knew him. He was an avid tennis player and boater, and he loved golf. He loved his Indians, Cavs, Browns and Buckeyes, and followed them all of his life.
A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Road, Sandusky, with a fellowship gathering after the service.
