Alice Marie Stoldt, 77, of Bellevue died Thursday, March 11, 2010, in Bellevue Care Center.
Mrs. Stoldt was born March 24, 1932, in Bellevue, daughter of the late Edgar and Freda (Domrose) Beiler. She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1949. Alice worked for Bellevue City Schools for 38 years as a secretary, first at the high school then at Ellis School from where she retired in 1999. She served as the OAPSE representative while working.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where she formerly served as the secretary for the Church council for more than 20 years; she was a former Sunday school teacher and vacation Bible school teacher. Alice volunteered at The Bellevue Hospital and was a former member of Eastern Star. She belonged to the 'Round About Reading Club, and perhaps was the last surviving member.
On July 20, 1952, she married William H. Stoldt, and he preceded her in death March 13, 2007.
Survivors include their children, Brenda (Gary) Manasco and Frank Stoldt, both of Bellevue; two grandchildren, Alison (Scott) O'Neal of Columbus and Jonathon Manasco and his fiancé, Angela Delius, of Huron. Her brother and his wife, John and Vera Beiler of Bellevue also survive.
Her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Lowell Cutnaw, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, with an hour visitation prior to the service, in St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue, with the Rev. Karen Kaye officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
