Timothy A. Howard, 49, of Sandusky, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born on Aug. 6, 1960, in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was employed as a railroad worker, and was a sheet metal worker for more than 20 years with the local unions, and worked for M.H. & Son Machining & Welding.
He enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, woodworking, boating and gun collecting.
He is survived by his lifelong companion, Brenda Austin of Sandusky; son, Brian Austin of Sandusky; stepmother, Ruth Howard of Sandusky; sister, Marlene (Michael) Failor of Sandusky; brothers, Randall (Patricia) Howard and Mark (Kim) Howard of Sandusky; stepbrother, Steve (Brenda) Hewitt of Iowa: nieces and nephews, Melissa, Amy, BreeAnn, Kristi, Nicholas and Mike; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Phyllis (Gose) Howard.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. Saturday until funeral services at 3 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Liz Proudfoot will officiate.
