Bruce T. Poole, 73, of Sandusky was called home to be with the Lord, Monday, March 8, 2010, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born Jan. 23, 1937, in New London to Walter David Poole and Mary Gallman Poole. The family later moved to Sandusky where he attended Sandusky High School. He was employed by Browns Industrial and Waldock Investment Co. He enjoyed boxing, racing, dog shows and good soul food.
Left to cherish his memories are his children, Cynthia (Calvin) Poole Randleman Jones, Zachary (Crystal) Poole Randleman, Bruce T. Poole Jr., Gwendolyn (Victor) Poole Crews, Steven Poole, Durand (Tiffany) Morris and Natasha (Christopher Clark) Eversole; stepchildren, James (Elizabeth) Graham and Kimberly (Jemal Sr.) Glover; 23 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Mae Gardner, Charlotte Randleman Farris and Doris Warren Troop; special nieces, Marion Rice and Gloria Louis; special friends, Ervin Turner Sr., Charles Taylor and Columbus Sadler; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mae Poole and Thelma Poole Rice; brothers, Morris Poole and Walter Lee Poole Sr.; three grandsons in infancy; niece, Shirley Y. Randleman; and loving companion of 26 years, Darlene S. Graham.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Saturday until services at 1 p.m. in Eagle's Nest Church, 2126 Pipe St., Sandusky. The Rev. Darrell Gant will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
