Kathleen M. Murphy, 59, of Monroeville passed away Sunday morning, March 7, 2010, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 25, 1951, in Sandusky, daughter of the late Marjorie (Bahnsen) and Rollan Woell. Kathleen received her bachelor of science degree from Bowling Green State University. She was a homemaker and substitute teacher for Perkins, Margaretta and Port Clinton school districts. She was Director of VIA Club of Erie County, now known as Big Brothers and Big Sisters. She enjoyed quilting and cross-stitch and sold her wares at local craft shows.
Kathleen is survived by her husband of 32 years, Daniel Murphy; two sons, Mike Murphy of Monroeville and Adam Murphy with the Peace Corps in Romania; one sister, Lori (Robert) Woell Pilus; one brother, Daniel Woell of Sandusky; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margie Woell; and a brother, Michael Woell.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Saturday until a Service of Remembrance at 11 a.m. at Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins, Sandusky.
