Virginia K. Fullenkamp, 84, of Bucyrus began her glorious journey with the Lord Tuesday morning, March 9, 2010.
Mrs. Fullenkamp was born March 6, 1926, in New Bremen, Ohio, daughter of the late Lewis and Melinda Katherine (Althoff) Howe. She was married May 12, 1949, to James J. Fullenkamp, who preceded her in death Sept. 9, 2004.
Mrs. Fullenkamp was a homemaker, she graduated from Anna H.S. and moved to Bucyrus in 1966. Virginia was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was a member of numerous card clubs and enjoyed reading, ceramic painting, and collecting Precious Moments, bells and jewelry. Most of all, Virginia loved family celebrations and being in the company of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family said they will miss her very much: "She always made time for all of us and never forgot her friends. We will forever remember her strength and her courage. Her last years were difficult, but she never complained and carried on as though nothing was wrong and did her best to live as she always has, laughing, smiling, with open arms and hugs for everyone and strong shoulders to lean on. We were all blessed to have her in our lives."
Mrs. Fullenkamp is survived by eight children, Linda (Robert) Durr of Ozark, Mo., Larry (Joanne) Fullenkamp of North Lewisburg, Ohio, Joyce (Mike Shock) Neubacher of Bucyrus, Jamie Fullenkamp of Wasilla, Alaska, Colleen (Steven) Brown of Eagle River, Alaska, Randy (Jenny) Fullenkamp of Bucyrus, Dana (Michele) Fullenkamp of Cooksville, Tenn., and Keith (Kristy) Fullenkamp of Port Clinton; grandchildren, Blaine, Cory, Bobby, Dawn, Shawn, Clint, Philip, Audrey, Von, Eddy, Robert, Lukas, Heather, Lindsey, Erika, Brittany, Brandon, Shaun, Bailey, Christina, Jonathon and Keileen; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, Zane, Colton, Jake, Katie, Evan, Jane, Allie, Cody, Jill, Brandon, Nicholas, Kaylee, Jimmy, Joycelyn, Madison and Mason; brother, Frederick (Mary) Howe of Wapakoneta, Ohio; sisters, Mildred Shellenberger of New Knoxville, Ohio, and Opal (Bill) White and Gloria Elsass, both of Sidney, Ohio.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, J Alan; son-in-law, James Neubacher; sisters, Lola Lammers, and her husband, Silas, and Marie Billing; and brother-in-law, Bebe Elsass.
