Ida Mae (Endicott) Cassel, 82, of 7708 W. Mason Road, Sandusky, died Thursday night, Feb. 22, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born June 10, 1924 in Job, Ky. During high school, she was a cheerleader and played basketball. She retired from American Crayon and also worked at Barr Rubber. She was a member of Sand Hill Freewill Baptist Church.
Ida is survived by one daughter, Wanda (Paul) Fannin of Monroeville; two sons, Harold (Susan) Cassel of Castalia, and Joe (Severia) Cassel of Sandusky; one brother, Ray (Lucia) Endicott of Columbus; four sisters, Ellen (Richard) Barber and Agnes Marcum, both of Columbus, Estle Williams of Sandusky, and Zola Maynard of Inez, Ky.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester, in 2001; her parents, Ransom and Effie (Horn) Endicott; six brothers, Lawrence, Floyd, Marion, Sonny, Norman and Arthur Endicott; and two sisters, Elsie Allen and Suley Endicott.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Ray Richardson will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.
