Better J. Weir, passed away Feb. 21, 2007.
She was born in Castalia, and graduated from Margaretta High School. Bette lived in Sandusky until 1985 when she moved to Tucson, Arizona. In Sandusky she worked at the Erie County Courthouse, Good Samaratan Hospital and Coachlight gift shop. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was very active in Girl Scouts. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved cooking, baking and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Douglas; daughters, Donna Romick of Norwalk, Nancy (Eric) McKenna of Los Gatos, Calif.; and Lisa Weir of Tucson; and son, son, David (Kathy) Weir, of Los Gatos; grandchildren, Chris, Tiffany, Varrie, Leslie, Jessica and Amy; and great-grandchildren, Alec, Jordan, Sophia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Alfred and Loretta Bohn; and sister, Laverne Bushna.
Services will be 2 p.m Tuesday in Bring’s Broadway Chapel, 6910 E. Broadway, with The Rev. Glen Foster officiating.
The family suggests contributions in Bette’s name be made out to the Humane Society of Southern, Arizona, 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716.
