James S. Sanders, 96, of Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 21, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
He was born May 2, 1910, in Toledo. He was a veteran of W.W. II, having served in the U.S. Army. He retired in 1971 from Vulcan Materials, where he worked for many years. Later, he worked in security for A. J. Investigation, Pinkerton Corp. and Firelands Investigation. Jim was a member of the Woodmen's Club of Jackson, Mich.
He is survived by cousins; special friends, Augusta "Gussie" Curley, Rachel, Patrice Darden Harris and Viola and Rommel McKinney.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma B. (Jackson) Sanders in 1993 and his parents, Samuel and Anna (Blackwell) Sanders.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. today at David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. There will be no funeral services. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
