Roy A. Stewart Sr., 68, of Crestline, Ohio, and formerly of Norwalk, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, in Gaymont Nursing Center in Norwalk, after a three-month illness.
He was born Oct. 16, 1938, in Morgantown, W.Va. He moved when he was 16 to the Norwalk and Cleveland area. He was a painter for Ford Motor Company in Lorain, retiring in 1972. He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family. He attended the Maple City Church of God in Norwalk.
He was survived by his wife, Mary Stewart; children, Theresa Manson of Marion, Kippy Stewart of Rogers, Connie Mc Kerahan of New London, Audrey Hibbard of Berlin Heights, Smokie Stewart of Norwalk, Kimberley Stewart of Crestline, Bobby Stewart of Crestline, Jaden Stewart of Marion and Ivy Stewart of Marion; sisters, Isabell Newton, Blanche Clay and Mary Hansen; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Juanita Stewart; children, Belva Foster, Mary Stewart and Roy Stewart; sisters, Audrey Graham and Delores Pulido; and brothers, Harry and Bobby Stewart.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be 12:30 p.m Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, in the Maple City Church of God, 40 Cline St., Norwalk, with Pastor Kenny Conley officiating.
