Susan F. Brant, 56, of Sandusky, died Tuesday. Feb. 20, 2007, in her residence.
Born April 29, 1950, in Scioto County, she was the daughter of Elmer and Ruby James Skaggs, now deceased. She was a piece worker for the Goodwill Plant in Sandusky.
Susan was also preceded in death by one brother, Richard Skaggs; one grandson, Jeffery Brant; and one granddaughter, Sierra Lynn Brant.
Surviving are her husband, Douglas Brant; six sons, Frank Skaggs of Beaver, Phillip York of Martel, John York, Steven Brant and Walter Brant, all of Sandusky, and Shannon York of Coal Grove; seven stepsons, Douglas Brant, Jr. of Willard, Alvin Brant of Monroeville, Larry and Jim Brant, both of Norwalk, Robert Brant of Tenneseee and Daniel Brant and Kenneth Eckleberry, both of Portsmouth; three daughters, Ruby McCauley, April Brant and Laura Martin, all of Sandusky; one stepdaughter, Linda Sanders of Portsmouth; four brothers, Robert, Joe, Mark and Chester Skaggs, all of Portsmouth; six sisters, Helen Stoneking, Barbara Collier, Rachael Brant and Waynetta Keaton, all of Minnesota, Judy McGarey of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Rose Lambert of Franklin Furnace; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Friday until services at 1 p.m. Friday in Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth. Pastor Bud Patrick will officiate. Interment will be in Universal Cemetery.
