Jerold A. White Sr., 68, Huron, died Tuesday, February 13, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus.
He was born Jan. 11, 1939, in Sandusky, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was employed as an electrician by the Ford Motor Company in Lorain for more than 30 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the AMVETS Post 17, Sandusky.
He is survived by his stepmother, Irene White of Huron; children, Jennifer (Charles "Michael") Schmidt of Casselberry, Fla., Melodie (Douglas) Bayer of Sandusky, Denise (Randy) Hammill of Sandusky, Angela Dillion, Parma, Mich., Tony Dillion of Parma, Holly (Mark) Maki of Vermilion and Jerold (Michelle) White Jr. of Huron; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Milton White, James White, Theodore White, John White and Thomas White, all of Sandusky, and Steve White of Pittsburgh; former wives, Lynda Tatgenhorst of Casselberry, Fla., and Sharon White of Vermilion; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton White and Helen (Zeck) Cozzie; stepfather, Angelo Cozzie; and a brother, Richard White.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. J. David Snyder of Calvary Temple officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The American Legion Post 83, Sandusky, will provide military services.
