Robert L. DuBell, of Clyde, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, in St. Francis Health Care Center.
He was born March 9, 1930, at home, to Lester and Bernice (Peotrasche) DuBell. Bob was employed for 28 years at General Electric Supply Co. in Toledo and 14 years at Sabroski Electric Co., Fremont, as a buyer. He graduated from Macomber High School in 1948 and married his high school sweetheart, Helen Bowman, in September 1948. They were the parents of four boys. Bob attended the boys football games during their high school years. He also was a part of their Indian Guide experience. Bob joined the Coast Guard Auxillary in 1979 and was part of the search and rescue team. He also taught safe boating classes for many years. He inspected boats' safety gear for the Coast Guard. When he could no longer use his foot, because of his health, he retired and joined the Tiffin Radio Control Modelers, serving in several offices. He built many models of various sizes.
He was a member of Clyde First United Methodist church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert E. DuBell; and sister, Gertrude Warner.
He leaves to cherish his memory wife, Helen, of 58 years; sons, Dennis (Marcia) DuBell; Bruce (Lori) DeBell and Raymond DeBell; grandchildren, Dawn Marie, Robert (Jenny) Ernes Jr.; Jasmine, Genna and Bethany DuBell. The light of his life, great-grandson, Garrett Allen DuBell.
Family and friends may visit from 3-8 p.m. Friday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde, where services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow in Whitehouse Cemetery.
