Homer E. McPeek, 76, died Monday morning, Feb. 12, 2007, at his residence in Orchard Grove Retirement Community.
He was born June 10, 1930, in Pennsboro, W.Va. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clyde. He retired from New Departure and continued to work at Sandusky Boatline and Cedar Point. Homer was a member of UAW Local 913, Sandusky.
He is survived by one daughter, Jill (Kevin) Buckner of Bellevue; two sons, Stan (Robbie) McPeek and Michael (Michaele) McPeek, both of Bellevue; three grandchildren, Daniel McPeek, Jacquie Buckner and Chelsea McPeek; one great-grandson, Malcolm Michael McPeek; and several nieces and nephews.
Homer was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey J. (Jenkins) McPeek, in 1997; his parents, Howard and Jessie (Laugh) McPeek; and six brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. Pastor Kerns of the First Baptist Church of Clyde will officiate.
