Viola M. (Linder) Englert, 91, of Norwalk, died Saturday evening, Feb. 10, 2007, in Norwalk Memorial Home in Norwalk, after an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 2, 1916, in Havana, Ohio, was a graduate of Milan High School and then moved to Norwalk in 1939. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She retired from the Faulhaver Company in Monroeville in 1975. She was an avid bowler and was active with the Norwalk community concerts. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, baking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Donna Smith of Norwalk and Joyce and Wayne Moore of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin (Mary Lou) Englert of Norwalk and Robert (Debora) Englert and James and (Peggy) Englert, all of Milan; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Englert, in 2003; her parents, Edwin and Victoria (Long) Linder; and her brothers, Robert Linder, Frank Linder and John Linder.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Frank Kehres, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Norwalk.
