Emma M. (Erndt) Schuff, 82, of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at her daughter's home in Idaho after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 3, 1924, in Mansfield, Ohio. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Wyandotte Baptist Church of Mansfield, Women of the Moose in Mansfield, and the Mansfield Liederkranz. She also loved to dance, help her daughter save wildlife, and play bingo.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara (Lewis) Rhoades of Caldwell, Idaho, Toni (Robert) Taylor of Sandusky, and Pam Perry of Columbus; three sons, Michael (Jan) Schuff III of Athens, Tenn., John (Audrey) Schuff of Dunnellon, Fla., and Frederick (Janine) Schuff of St. Louis, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Erndt of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Schuff Jr. in 1974; a daughter, Michael Emma Schuff in infancy; her parents, Jacob and Barbara (Merschdorf) Erndt; four brothers, Jacob Erndt Jr., Walter Erndt, Anthony Erndt and Duane B. Tyler; and three sisters, Christine Hriesik, Rosemary Young, and Jane Young.
Private family services will be at a later date. Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, is in charge of arrangements.
