Martha Jane (Bridwell) Truax, 88, of Sandusky, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born Oct. 14, 1918, in Bedford, Ind. She was employed for many years with New Departure Division of GM in Sandusky and was the loving owner of a number of Boston Terriers.
Martha is survived by her cousin and legal guardian, Marc R. Kellams, and his wife, Christina, of Bloomington, Ind.; and cousins, David A. Kellams of Sarasota, Fla., and Gilbert L. Bridwell of Alexandria, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, John C. Truax, on June 24, 2002; her parents, Shirden and Clyde Spoonmore Bridwell Sipes; and stepfather, John S. Sipes.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 E. Bogart Road, Huron, with the Rev. Kathleen Shuck of Zion Lutheran Church officiating.
The family wishes to express its sincere appreciation to The Commons of Providence, Assisted and Specialized Assisted Living facilities and Stein Hospice for the outstanding care provided for Martha in the last years of her life.
