Patricia "Pat" Boling, 70, of Port Clinton, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, surrounded by her loving family at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton. She was born Aug. 22, 1936, in Port Clinton to Gilbert and Anna (Drusbacky) Carnicom. She graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1954. Pat worked as an EKG/EEG tech at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton for 34 years, retiring in 2004. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, a charter member of the Vacation Land Lionesses of Port Clinton, where she served as secretary and was honored as the Lion of the Year in 1992-1993, and was honored by Lions Club International with the Melvin Jones Fellow Award in 1996-1997. Pat had also just completed training to be a volunteer for Stein Hospice. She enjoyed playing bingo and was known for this in the local bingo community. Pat dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her children, Joni (Wayne) Chaffin of Port Clinton, David (Leslie) Boling of Shelton, Wash., John Boling of Port Clinton and Lori (Burt) Johnson of Port Clinton; eight grandkids, Ryan (Kristen) Chaffin, Lisa (Dave) Luebcke, Jason Boling, Christopher Boling, Joshua Boling, Joseph Boling, Emily Johnson and B.J. Johnson; four great-grandkids, Breanna, Izaak, Caitlyn, and Zachery, and one on the way; brother, Gilbert "Bud" (Maxine) Carnicom of Port Clinton; best friend, Elsie Jones of Port Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, George Gilbert Carnicom.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, with the Rev. James Lehman officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions may be given to St. John Lutheran Church or Magruder Hospital.
