Janice Marilyn Wozniak, 79, of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born May 29, 1927 in Wickliffe, Ohio, to Robert and Marian (Rutland) Wendt.
She battled cancer for several years with great dignity and courage, due to her unswerving faith and devotion to her God. She was a member of the West Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and a dedicated servant of Jehovah for 66 years. She had many dear friends who shared her faith and are looking forward to seeing her soon in paradise. She was loved by all and will be sadly missed.
Janice is survived by her loving husband, James Wozniak, to whom she was married 58 years; her devoted son, Timothy (Deborah) Wozniak of Sandusky; seven grandchildren, Angela (Jason) Watts, Stephen Wozniak, Jesse Wozniak, Sarah Miller, Nicole Miller, Jacob Miller and Joshua Miller; two great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Watts and Hayden Watts; brother, Richard (Carol) Wendt of Pinehurst, N.C; sister-in-law, Joyce Wendt of Thompson, Ohio, and many nieces, nephews and very dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved daughter, Cynthia Ann Miller, in 2002; and a brother, Robert Wendt, in 2005.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Feb. 10, 2007, in Perkins High School Auditorium, 3714 Campbell St., Sandusky. Entombment was in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
