Howard "Jim" Mann, 63, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, in The James Cancer Center in Columbus after a courageous battle with liver cancer.
He was born Jan. 21, 1944, in Dennison, Ohio, a son of Howard and Helen (Stewart) Mann, now deceased. A resident of the Sandusky area for most of his life and a retiree of Ford Motor Company after 30 years of employment, he moved to the Uhrichsville area to be close to his brothers and sisters so he could support them in their aging years.

He has one granddaughter, whom he cherished as much as life itself, Brandi Braker, also of Norwalk. Other survivors include two brothers, Cork (Bonnie) Mann of Uhrichsville and Dan (Ginny) Mann of Port Washington, Ohio; two sisters, Jane (Junior) Quillen of Newcomerstown, Ohio, and Bonnie (Jim) McDaniel of Dennison; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his two dogs whom he loved dearly, Blue and Duke.
One brother is deceased, Tom Mann of Dennison, who passed on Jan. 15, 2007.
Visitation for Jim will begin at 2 p.m. Monday until services at 4 p.m. in his home at 7743 Ohio 800 S.E., Uhrichsville. The Rev. Sandra Mann will officiate.
