Hubert E. Marcum, 67, of Norwalk, died Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 30, 2007, at Gaymont Nursing Center in Norwalk.
He was born Sept. 26, 1939, in Taylorville, W.Va. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962-63. He was a member of the Northern Ohio
Gospel Singing Association, enjoyed traveling and collecting coins. He was an avid antique car enthusiast and was proud of his 1970 Monte Carlo. He retired from Ford Motor Company, Sandusky, in 1995.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sylvia J. (Lowe) Marcum of Norwalk; daughters, Karyn (Loxley) Collins of Norwalk and Elizabeth (Tom) Caudill; sister, Bonnie (Rey) Chavez; brother, John (Sally) Marcum; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Dorothy (Justice) Marcum; and his son, Kevin Marcum.
Friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. in Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. Friday until services at 11 a.m. in Mount Harvest Church of God, 150 Ohio 113, Milan, Ohio, 44846. The Rev. Carl Woodyard, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk.
