BEVERLY A. SMITHSON <br />OCT. 9, 1931-JAN. 29, 2007

BELLEVUE

Beverly A. Smithson, 75, of Bellevue, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.

Beverly was born in Bellevue Oct. 9, 1931, to Raymond and Stella (Burkett) Cloud Sr. She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1949. Aug. 31, 1949, she married Howard R. Smithson, who preceded her in death Dec. 29, 2001. She attended the First Baptist Church in Sandusky and was a member of Antique Club and Garden Club in Bellevue. She was also a member and treasurer of the Tourist Club in Bellevue.

She is survived by a daughter, Val (Rick) Bressler of Sandusky; and a son, Bob (Garlene) Smithson of Hartwell, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Miller of Clyde and Lucille (Dick) Overmeyer of Fremont and a brother, Larry (Judy) Cloud of Willard.

She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Ronald and Roger Smithson; two brothers, Clyde Cloud and Raymond Cloud Jr.; and a sister, Mary Cloud.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, where services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, with The Rev. Dan Miller, of First Baptist Church, Sandusky, officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Sandusky.

Bette an I want to share our deep sorrow at the passing of Beverly. She was a class mate of mine. As '49 Class Reunion Committee members we had many great times together planning reunions. Your mom always kept track of present and passed members. As I share this message with you, Bette and I are wintering in Florida. When we return in the spring,Val, we would like to express our condolences in person to you at The Chapel. May Beverly rest in peace and may God hold you in the palm of his hand and give you peace at this time of your sorrow.
