Elizabeth M. Wagner 87, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, in Kingston Care Center of Sylvania surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Nov. 10, 1919, to Edward and Anna (Burke) Corviazier in Detroit. Her life reflects a commitment and great devotion to family, church and community. Betty was a life long member of Regina Coeli Parish. She was the first president of the Altar Rosary Society as well as an active member in parish activities up to the sickness and death of her husband. She served in leadership in the Girl Scouts of NW Ohio as a Cub Scout den leader and as a coach in female sports. Betty was a member of the St. Francis Guild of the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania. She was a member of special clubs with lifelong friends, especially Dorothy Csomos.
Betty's survivors include her loving family, daughter, Sr. Mary Jon Wagner, OSF/S, of Huron; son, Richard (Jolene) Wagner of Toledo; grandchildren, Carey (Donny) Manders, Amy (Dennis) Kazmierczak and Kelly (Mason) Hall; stepgrandchildren, Chad and Tara Pietkowski; and great-grandchildren, Brittany, Jacob, Drew, Karlie, Tyler and Zackary.
In addition to her husband, Allen Wagner, her parents and her brothers, Eugene and Edward Corviazier preceded her in death.
Family and friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today in Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114-128 E. Alexis Road, Toledo, where scripture services will be 7 p.m. and where funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Regina Coeli Church, 530 Regina Pkwy. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family suggest, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Sisters of St. Francis, 6832 Convent Blvd., Sylvania, OH 43560.
