Marilyn G. Herner, 70, of Monroeville, died Thursday morning, Jan. 18, 2007, in Providence Care Center, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 8, 1936, in Castalia and was a 1954 graduate of Monroeville High School. Marilyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Monroeville, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Women of the Church. She was also a member and past Worthy Matron of the Althea Chapter 438, O.E.S., Monroeville.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jim Herner; four sons, Steve Herner, Arthur (Rosa) Herner, Paul (Barb) Herner and David (Shannon) Herner, all of Monroeville; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Milkie of Green Bay, Wis., and one sister, Sue Fairchild of Sandusky; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary (Parcher) Milkie.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today in Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe St., Monroeville, where memorial services will be 8 p.m., with Althea Chapter 438, O.E.S. Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. Saturday until services at 11 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 Broad St., Monroeville, with The Rev. Amy C. Little will officiate.
