Anna Carrie Hansen, 91, of Port Clinton, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, in Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor.
Anna was born May 1, 1915, in Port Clinton, the daughter of Hans Christian and Karen J. (Hansen) Jensen. In 1934 in Danbury Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, she married Frederick A. Hansen and he preceded her in death in 1992. Anna worked as a vulcanizer for Standard Products for more than 25 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene, Port Clinton, and also served as a board member of the church. Anna will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
Survivors include her brother, Ronald (Bea) Jensen of Port Clinton; sister, Vivian Wadsworth of Georgia; sisters-in-law, Edna Jensen of Oak Harbor, Mary Jensen of Iowa and Sybil Jensen of Indiana; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Wayne F. Hansen; brothers, Hans Jensen Jr., Niels Jensen, Richard Jensen, Robert Jensen and Leroy Jensen; and sisters, Margaret McAfee, Mary Ann Kuzma, Eleanore Miller and Laurabelle Harpel.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Saturday in Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the Church of the Nazarene, Port Clinton, with The Rev. Carolyn Joseph officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
The family requests contributions in Anna's memory may be made to the Church of the Nazarene or the Salvation Army.
