Eunice Rollison, 85, of Sandusky, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, at Parkvue Health Care Center.
She was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Anderson, S.C., to Samuel and Emma (McComb) Rice, now deceased. She retired from Sandusky City Schools in 1983 and began operating Rollison Cool Spot, a family owned business. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, sang with the senior choir, was a member of the Busy Bee Club, secretary for the Wee to Club, secretary for the CAC, helped serve in Serving Our Seniors and assisted with the Volunteers of America.
She leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Benjamin Rollison, Elroy (Lula) Rollison and Maron Ervin Rollison and daughter, Betty Lou (Douglas) Gowdy, all of Sandusky; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Leroy Rollison in 1979; her parents; grandsons, Bernard Rollison and Vincent Rollison; great-grandson, Steven Tiller; brothers, Robert, Marion and Clyde; and sisters, Natherlee and Charlena.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery.
