Dorothy M. (Strickler) Bronner, 90, of Huron, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
She was born Feb. 20, 1916, in Lorain and was a lifelong resident of Huron. She owned and operated the Family Inn Restaurant, Main Street, Huron, for eight years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting and was an avid reader. She was also a Cleveland Indians fan for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Dona (Vincent) Fedele of Sandusky and Carolyn (Robert) McClain of Naples, Fla.; a son, Otis "Buz" (Lynn) Bronner of Huron; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Wilma Cherry of Huron; and two brothers, Harry Strickler of Vermilion and Harvey "Jake" Strickler of Amherst.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Otis O. Bronner in 1994; parents, David and Hattie (Jackson) Strickler; two daughters, Patricia Old and Joyce Klein; three brothers, Claude, David and Jerry Strickler; a grandchild, Jamie Klein; and great-grandchild, Rebecca Old.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron, where services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, with Heidi Strickler, associate pastor of Harbourtown Community Church, Vermilion, officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
