Esther L. "Skippy" Miller, 97, of 5000 Providence Drive, Sandusky, died Friday evening, Jan. 5, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born Jan. 22, 1909, in Bellevue. She graduated in 1927 from Bellevue High School. She was employed as a secretary by Bigelow Rugs and Carpets in Cleveland, Chicago and Los Angeles. Esther was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Groton Township. She also belonged to the Hollywood Figure Ice Skating Club of Los Angeles, Calif.
Esther is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Paul (Sandy) and Lowell (Nancy) Danklefsen, Gary (Barbara), Doug (Linda) and Denver (Nancy) Miller Jr., Laureen Stanley and Jeanette Schwab; as well as many other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Anna (Hoffner) Miller; her sister, Marguerite Danklefsen; and two brothers, Clemont and Denver Miller Sr.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. Monday until services at 11 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, 9416 Ohio 99 at Strecker Road, Monroeville. The Rev. Paul Stengel will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery.
