Kathleen K. "Kay" Gosa, 74, residing in Huron, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 22, 2014, at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness.
Kathleen was born Jan. 12, 1940, in Lorain to the late Roy and Gladys (Butler) LeValley.
Kathleen worked at Periodical Publishing for more than 10 years and was a member of the Huron Eagles Woman's Auxiliary Club and Catawba Island Pink Ladies. She loved spending her summers at her trailer on Catawba Island and enjoyed fishing, drinking beer and Bloody Mary's, puzzles, cross stitch, gardening, shooting pool and spending time with family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren who knew her as "Nonny."
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Rick) Good of Memphis, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Misty (Shawn), Shannon (Scott), Mandy (Steve), Melissa (Brandon) and Sarah (Aaron); nine great-grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Steven, Haley, Alyssa, Chance, Alexander, Hannah and Noah; one sister, Marlene Hare; one brother, Roy "Denny" LeValley; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Gosa, in 1999; daughter, Kathy Duncil, in 2012; brother, Donald LeValley; sister, Delores Ruby; and great-grandson, Caleb Parsons, in 2012.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24, until the time of funeral services at noon at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave, Sandusky, with Pastor Sam Hohman presiding. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
