LaVaughn M. Glover, 73, of Clyde, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, in Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
She was born Aug. 2, 1940, in Clyde, to Robert and Margaret (Ritchey) Hintz.
LaVaughn graduated from Clyde High School in 1958. She had worked at Hogue’s IGA, Miller’s Super Valu, and WeeCare Day Care. She was member of First United Methodist Church in Clyde where she had been very active in the United Methodist Women. She also taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years. She enjoyed camping, cooking, baking, and loved being around children.
On Oct. 18, 1958, she married Lowell Glover Sr. He preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 2005.
Survivors include her children, Brenda (Bruce) Boissoneault of Sandusky, Lowell Jr. (Donna) Glover of Clyde, Margaret (Bryan) Hutton of Maumee, Ohio, Roberta Glover of Bellevue, Kimberly (John) Moyer of Castalia, Gregory (Shelly) Glover of Tiffin, and Melissa (Rich) Stombaugh of Bellevue; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Marjorie (Elmer) McClanahan of Green Springs, Anita Anderson of Utah, Evelyn (Donald) Baker of Fremont, and Robert A. Hintz of Clyde.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, LaVaughn was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Clenton Noftz; brother, Donald Hintz; and grandson, Joshua Glover.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St, Clyde. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, at First United Methodist Church, 510 W. Maple St., Clyde, with Rev. Ray Kovach and Rev. Dennis King officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Autumnwood Care Center or Community Hospice Care.
