Ruth N. Boulis, 96, of Sandusky, died Saturday evening, June 28, 2014, in The Meadows at Osborn Park following a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 25, 1917, in North Judson, Ind., and was a 1935 graduate of Findlay High School, Findlay, Ohio. Ruth had lived in the Sandusky area for the past 72 years.
She was an active member of First Christian Church, Sandusky, and her hobbies included playing the organ, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Richard (Helen) Boulis, of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Duane (Della) Boulis and Deanna (Alfred) Streng, of Sandusky; 11 grandchildren, Dennis, Stephen, Jeanette, Donald, Scott, Michelle, Chad, Amber, Aaron, Christopher and Lauren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Boulis, in 1993; her parents, George and Edna (Grirismore) Sands; four brothers; one sister; and one daughter-in-law, Karen S. Boulis, in 1989.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 5, until a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church, 3410 Hayes Ave., Sandusky. Pastor Don Spurlock will officiate. Entombment will be in the Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
